Heading to the Southwest for Learning

WordCamp US 2023 Wooden Luggage Tag

In mid-August, we headed out to Las Vegas on our way to WordCamp US 2026 in Phoenix. We were going to fly straight into Phoenix, but our airline doesn’t actually fly into Phoenix until late September. We took the opportunity to do more networking and explore tech opportunities in the Las Vegas area. When we left in April-May, we realized there were still several places we wanted to check out, and a local WordPress group had just started up after we left.

We attended WordCamp US in Philadelphia in 2016, and then WordCamp US in National Harbor in 2023. This would be our third WordCamp US.

Our flight started off well; we all boarded early, but then we were delayed due to overbooking on flights into Las Vegas. The flight itself was smooth, and somehow we got there only a half hour late, even though we departed almost an hour late. I got quite a bit done even with the dial-up speed of Viastat WiFi.
